Super Por-Rok® Premium Cement Based Anchoring Cement

SpecRock is a pourable non-shrink Portland cement-based anchoring cement that sets hard in 12–15 minutes

SpecRock is a one-component, waterproof, non-shrink, Portland cement-based anchoring cement that expands as it sets to lock into the surrounding concrete. SpecRock ES (extended set) offers a 60–75 minute work time for placement in hot weather conditions above 90°F.

Features

  • Sets hard in 12–15 minutes for fast production
  • Rapid high strength — up to 2,000 psi in 1 hour at 72°F
  • Controlled expansion locks into surrounding concrete as it sets
  • Non-metallic — maintains volume stability over time
  • Waterproof and resistant to freeze/thaw cycles
  • Flowable and pourable for easy application
  • Approved for exterior use and direct water exposure
  • SpecRock ES offers 60–75 minute extended work time for hot weather applications above 90°F

Specifications

Set Time (Standard) 12–15 minutes
Set Time (ES Extended) 60–75 minutes
Compressive Strength Up to 2,000 psi in 1 hour at 72°F
Water Ratio Approximately 16.7% by weight
Working Time 8 minutes after mixing
Minimum Placement Thickness 1"
Maximum Lift Thickness 18"

Applications

Super POR-Rok is used for both structural anchoring and concrete repair.

Common Uses:

  • Anchor bolts and threaded rods
  • Railings and guard rails
  • Banisters and handrails
  • Sign posts
  • Machinery bases
  • Structural steel connections
  • Concrete crack repair
  • General patching and void filling

Mixing & Installation

Mixing Ratio

  • Approximately 15% water by weight
  • ~2.3 oz water per 1 lb of product

Mixing Instructions

  1. Add clean potable water into mixing container
  2. Slowly add powder while mixing
  3. Mix to smooth, flowable consistency
  4. Avoid overwatering (reduces strength)

Placement

  • Pour directly into prepared hole or void
  • Ensure full encapsulation of anchor bolt or rod
  • Finish slightly above surface to prevent water pooling

Surface Preparation

Proper preparation is critical for performance:

  • Concrete must be fully cured (minimum 28 days)
  • Remove all dust, debris, oil, or laitance
  • Pre-dampen hole (SSD condition – saturated surface dry)
  • Do not leave standing water in anchor hole
  • Use proper washer sizing for bolt load distribution
