Application Instructions

Surface Preparation

Before placement:

• Remove dirt, oil, grease, dust, and loose materials.
• Remove rust and contaminants from metal surfaces.
• Ensure concrete is structurally sound and roughened.
• Bring substrate to Saturated Surface Dry (SSD) condition for at least one hour before placement.
• Remove all standing water prior to grouting.
• Secure all equipment, anchor bolts, and base plates.

Temperature Requirements

For best performance:

• Condition materials and substrates between 50°F and 80°F.
• Protect grout from temperature extremes during placement and curing.

Mixing

For each 50 lb bag:

• Use approximately 5.5 pints of clean water.
• Do not exceed 5.75 pints of water.
• Mix for 3–4 minutes.
• Allow a short induction period.
• Mix for an additional minute before placement.

Placement

• Place continuously and rapidly from one side.
• Prevent air entrapment beneath base plates.
• Maintain minimum 1-inch clearance where possible.
• Do not vibrate grout during placement.

Curing

• Cover immediately with wet curing materials.
• Maintain moisture until final set.
• Apply an ASTM C309 curing compound after final set.
